The kickoff to spring is defrosting the housing market. In the later part of February, we saw an increase in new resale listings over the previous year and a steady decline of interest rates into the upper 6s. Meanwhile, the overall Sales Activity Intensity™ is at a very strong level.
SPRING INTO ACTION
The lock-in effect, with many homeowners holding home mortgage interest rates around 3%, is keeping the inventory low as listings aren’t coming on the market in the normal sequence.
